Frequently asked questions
Do I have to talk to it out loud?
No. Typing gets the same result, because Sumu reads one run-on sentence as well as it hears one. Voice is there for the days when writing is the thing stopping you.
What happens if I fall behind or skip a day?
Nothing punitive. Unfinished tasks roll forward and one tap replans the rest of the day around the time you actually have left.
Does Sumu replace my calendar?
It sits alongside it. Sumu reads what is already booked and plans around it, then writes back only the blocks it created.
Is my brain dump private?
Recordings are transcribed and then discarded, the text stays in your account, and you can delete any dump, or everything, from Settings.
Can I edit what Sumu scheduled?
Every task it makes is a normal task, so change the time, the length or the wording, or drop it before you add the day.
Is Sumu only for people with ADHD?
No, but it is designed around that experience. If deciding what to do next is the hardest part of your day, Sumu is built for you.
How do I move my history to a new phone?
Sign in with the same account and your streak, trophies and sixty-day journey come with you. Nothing lives only on the device.
